Itinerary

Day 1

Sunday, 30 May 2021

Meet at central London hotel. Depart hotel with your guide and transfer to Windsor. Visit Windsor Castle, used in the filming ofVictoria for exterior shots, and although it wasn’t used in the filming of The Crown it plays an important part in the story of the British royal family – it was represented in the series by another property. Lunch. Afternoon visit to Hatfield House, the location used in The Crown for Windsor Castle. Depart and return to London for overnight.

Day 2

Monday, 31 May 2021

Depart hotel for panoramic tour which will include sites associated and used in filming for Downton Abbey, The Crown and Victoria including; 35 Belgravia Square (exterior of Lady Rosamund’s residence – Downton Abbey), St Pancras International Station (Downton Abbey), Buckingham Palace and the Mall (Downton Abbey / Victoria / The Crown), and Horseguards Parade (Victoria). Visit Southwark Cathedral, used for the funeral scene of King George in The Crown. Lunch. Afternoon visit to Loseley Park for a guided tour of the house and gardens – several of the rooms have been used in The Crown. Return to central London for overnight.

Day 3

Tuesday, 1 June 2021

Early departure from London. Visit the stunning Highclere Castle (Downton Abbey). Visit of the house, to include the living areas, library and bedrooms which were all used in the series and film. Free time in the gardens and gift shop. Afternoon visit Cogges Farm (used as Yew Tree Farm on the Downton estate). Continue to the visit of Bampton, which was used as the village of Downton – spot several familiar sites; No1 Church View was used for the Dog & Duck pub, the house on the corner of Sandford’s Lane opposite the library was used for the post office, St Mary’s Church and Churchgate House (the Crawley family home). Return to London. Overnight
