  • Day 1 Friday

    Arrive Amsterdam airport and met by tour director. City tour of Amsterdam with local guide before transferring to Leiden for dinner and overnight.

  • Day 2 Saturday

    Breakfast. Full day visiting Leiden – it is here to where many Pilgrims fled in 1608 to avoid persecution and remained for 12 years. Visit the American Pilgrim Museum and Pieterskirk, named after St Peter the patron saint of Leiden. The church includes an exhibition on the Pilgrims in Leiden and John Robinson, the leader of Pieterskirk, is buried here. Dinner and overnight.

  • Day 3 Sunday

    Breakfast. Morning visit to the beautiful Delfshaven – it was from here that the small boat Speedwell set sail with the Separatists on board to meet with the Mayflower at Southampton. Visit the Pilgrim Fathers’ Church. Afternoon transfer to the Hague for your sailing to Harwich, England. Evening arrival into Harwich. Transfer to hotel for dinner and overnight.

  • Day 4 Monday

    Breakfast. Morning tour of Harwich – it is here the Mayflower is believed to have been built before 1600 and commanded and part-owned by her Master, Christopher Jones, whose house you will see. Tour of the wooden shipyard and visitor centre where a replica Mayflower ship is being built. Afternoon transfer to Boston, a lively historic port and market town – visit the Guildhall and its cells where a group of pilgrims were held and tried in 1607 for attempting to flee in search of religious freedom. See  Boston 'Stump', the church with monuments to John Cotton and finish with a visit to the coastal spot where the pilgrims are said to have attempted to set sail. Dinner and overnight.

  • Day 5 Tuesday

    Breakfast. Morning visit of Lincoln and see 1215 Magna Carta at the castle. Visit to the Bassetlaw Museum in Retford to see research on the origins of the Separatists and the Mayflower Pilgrims. Visit where the Scrooby Separatists fled to Holland from Immingham Creek – see the monument in Pilgrim Park. Dinner and overnight.

  • Day 6 Wednesday

    Breakfast. Visit All Saints Church, in Babworth, and see the rectory which have close connections to the origins of religious separatism. Richard Clyfton (friend of William Brewster and William Bradford) was parson here from 1586 until 1605. Learn the reasons for why Clyfton was eventually deprived of his living at Babworth. The church contains many interesting items recalling the Mayflower Pilgrims. Journey along roads well known to Willam Brewster, who worked as ‘Master of the Postes’. Pass a famous posting house where Queen Victoria and her mother once stayed. The village of Scrooby - see the Manor house where William Brewster lived after his father died, the medieval church where he was baptised and the Old Vicarage, the only house in the village with the half-timber construction common in Pilgrim times. Continue to Austerfield, the home of William Bradford. Visit the church, built in 1080, where Bradford was baptised. Afternoon visit to Gainsborough Old Hall, where John Smyth held regular meetings with local Pilgrims. Return to hotel driving through villages with links to the separatists. Dinner and overnight.

  • Day 7 Thursday

    Breakfast. Depart Lincoln and transfer to Worcestershire – Edward Winslow, a well-known Mayflower passenger came from here. See his sculpture in Droitwich Spa. Continue to Worcester where Winslow attended the Cathedral school. Visit the cathedral. Transfer to Plymouth for dinner and overnight.

  • Day 8 Friday

    Breakfast. Full day in Plymouth from where the Mayflower set sail. See the Mayflower steps, the Island House where the hopeful travellers are believed to have lodged, Black Friars Gin distillery – formerly ‘The Refectory’ believed to include the room where the Pilgrim’s spent their last night, the old Customs House, Sutton Harbour and the memorial at the Barbican. Visit the Mayflower Museum to explore the Pilgrims reasons for leaving Europe and the story of their treacherous voyage across the Atlantic. Follow their epic journey to the New World.Dinner and overnight.

  • Day 9 Saturday

    Breakfast. Visit to the pictursque town of Dartmouth, home to Puritan John Flavel and where the Mayflower, and its companionship the Speedwell, made an unscheduled stop due to leaks. Visit the cobbled Bayard’s Cove where Pilgrim Fathers rested whilst the Speedwell underwent repairs. Continue along the coast to Southampton, where the Mayflower sailed from England in 1620. Walk along the old city walls and through the same gate the Pilgrims used to board their ships, and see the Mayflower Memorial. Dinner and overnight.

  • Day 10 Sunday

    Breakfast. Transfer to London. Visit Southwark Cathedral, where John Harvard was baptised. Visit the Clink prison museum and see instruments used to torment Separatist prisoners. Finish with a visit to Rotherhithe, where some of the Pilgrims joined the Mayflower and where Christopher Jones, Master of the ship lived. Visit St Mary’s church where Jones is buried. See the Mayflower Pub with a Mayflower descendants book signed by visiting descendants, close to where the Mayflower Ship set sail – it is the only place in the UK licensed to sell American stamps. Dinner and overnight.

  • Day 11 Monday

    Breakfast. Check out.
