Day 1

Saturday, 1 June 2019

Arrive London International Airport and meet your guide. Transfer to London hotel before visiting St Paul's Cathedral with the American Memorial Chapel, a WWII tribute from Britain to our American allies. Remainder of day at leisure, followed by evening briefing with our tour guide. DBB

Day 2

Sunday, 2 June 2019

Visit one of the 70 USAAF airfields where the American airmen were billeted, the American Air Museum, US Military Cemetery at Madingley and the locations where HBO's The Might Eighth tells the story. See a pub frequented by US airmen with original graffiti. BB

Day 3

Monday, 3 June 2019

London city tour including Houses of Parliament, Whitehall, Trafalgar Square, Tower of London. Visit Churchill War Rooms and the Imperial War Museum. BB

Day 4

Tuesday, 4 June 2019

The D-Day Museum on the south coast followed by afternoon ferry sailing to Normandy. Dinner on board. BB

Day 5

Wednesday, 5 June 2019

Visit the German Coastal Gun Battery, still sporting three of its four guns. View the Arromanches 360 cinema. GOLD beach. Lunch on own. Watch mass parachute drop and Dakota flypast, subject to weather. DBB

Day 6

Thursday, 6 June 2019

We take part in the American ceremony and remember those who gave their lives for our freedom. Box lunch. Pointe du Hoc, captured by the U.S. 2nd Ranger Battalion. Vierville Draw and 29th Infantry Division sector of OMAHA Beach. Drive up 'Les Moulins' Draw to the U.S. Military Cemetery at St. Laurent sur Mer. DBB.

Day 7

Friday, 7 June 2019

The German military cemetery at La Cambe. See the famous Ste Mere Eglise church with its Airborne stained-glass windows and the Airborne museum. Lunch on your own. Visit La Fiere bridgehead and its 'Iron Mike' U.S. Airborne statue. Drive through the 101st Airborne drop zones. Pass Brecourt Manor, captured by The Band of Brothers Company E of the 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment. UTAH beach. DBB.

Day 8

Saturday, 8 June 2019

Memorial Pegasus Museum, and British Airborne zone including the cemetery. SWORD and JUNO beaches. Lunch on your own. Return to London via ferry arriving evening.
